Cookie policy

Effective from 2 October 2026

This cookie policy explains what cookies are, which cookies and similar technologies the Vitaly Tattoo Rīga website uses, why they are needed, how long they are stored and how you can manage your choice.

For personal data processing in general – including who the controller is and what your rights are – see our privacy policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser or device when you visit it. On your next visit the browser sends them back so the site can, for example, remember your language or that you are logged in.

Cookies can be grouped in several ways:

  • Session cookies – deleted when you close the browser.
  • Persistent cookies – kept for a set period or until you delete them.
  • First-party cookies – set by the website you are visiting.
  • Third-party cookies – set by another domain, e.g. an advertising or analytics service.

Browser storage (localStorage) works in a similar way, letting a website save a small amount of information on your device. We describe it together with cookies in this policy.

2. Legal basis

The use of cookies in Latvia is governed by Section 7.1 of the Law on Information Society Services and the EU ePrivacy Directive and, where cookies involve personal data, also by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Necessary cookies may be used without consent because the website cannot provide the service you requested without them. Legal basis – our legitimate interest in a working and secure site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • All other cookies (analytics, marketing) may only be used with your prior, freely given consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Cookie categories

Necessary – in use

Provide the website’s core functions: language choice, storing your cookie choice, secure login to the administration. They cannot be switched off in our cookie settings.

Analytics – not used at the moment

Would help us understand how visitors use the site (e.g. how many people open the booking form) in order to improve it. If added, they will only be activated after your consent.

Marketing – not used at the moment

Would allow showing relevant ads on social networks and measuring their effectiveness (e.g. the Facebook pixel). If added, they will only be activated after your consent.

4. Detailed list of cookies

All of these are first-party cookies – they are set and read only by this website and are not used to track you on other sites.

About “EvoEX”: the website is developed and maintained by EvoEX. The kp_key cookie and the kp_name storage item are only used during website development, when the studio or its representative uses a special link to mark what needs changing. They are not set for regular visitors.

5. Third-party services

The website has no embedded third-party content (e.g. videos, maps or social media widgets) that would set its own cookies. However, some resources are loaded from external servers:

  • Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.) – the website fonts. No cookies are set, but your IP address and browser information are received when the page loads.
  • jsDelivr – icon library. No cookies are set, but your IP address is received.
  • Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps – only links. Nothing is loaded until you click them; after that, those services’ cookie terms apply.

6. How consent is requested

  • On your first visit you will see a cookie notice with “Accept all”, “Necessary only” and “Settings”.
  • Refusing is as easy as accepting – both buttons are equally visible.
  • No optional category is pre-selected.
  • Until you consent, analytics and marketing tools are not loaded.
  • Your choice is stored in the vt_consent cookie for 14 days; after that the notice appears again. It also reappears if we change the list of cookies used.

7. How to change or withdraw your choice

You can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time with the “Change cookie settings” button at the end of this page. This page is always available via the “Cookies” link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

8. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings:

If you block all cookies, the website will still work but will not remember, for example, your language and cookie choice, and the notice may appear on every visit.

9. Who processes this data

Cookies are set and read on the website, which is hosted and maintained by EvoEX on its servers as a processor on behalf of Vitaly Tattoo Rīga. Information from cookies is not sold or shared with third parties. More about recipients and your rights – in the privacy policy.

10. Changes and contact

We will update this policy if the cookies we use change – for example, when adding analytics. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date shown at the top.
